| Summary | 0000953: Ability to choose a key to respawn with compat_instantrespawn, instead of any key | ||||||||
| Description | I read on the wiki that compat_instantrespawn only responds to the "USE" key to respawn the player, it's actually use and fire -- would it be difficult to make it possible for the player to change that to just use? I've accidentally triggered a respawn quite a few times. Also, I wonder why alt fire doesn't trigger it as well... | ||||||||
| Additional Information | I'm not sure if this was originally a bug or not, because the wiki'http://wiki.skulltag.net/DMFlags [^]' said compat_instantrespawn only responds to use. I can see why people would like fire as an option, so I guess it should stay in as an option at least. | ||||||||

I said "any key" in the title, that should be "use" and "fire", when I first started writing this I thought it was any key. |

A +respawn command would be great. Making the default configuration sane could be tricky. |

I'm not sure what to think about this one. IMO compat_instantrespawn should behave like regular respawning as far as keys go... |

I wasn't aware of cl_respawnonfire when I originally reported this I highly recommend adding cl_respawnonfire to player setup or something similar |

Closing since cl_respawnonfire exists. |
