Summary | 0004380: "Ready to respawn in x seconds" message desyncs at map starts, or doesn't appear at all for very fast clients | ||||||||
Description | This message will appear and stay much longer than the normal 1 second duration at map starts online when spawn-telefragged, in addition to sometimes rarely not appearing at all for very fast clients. | ||||||||
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Start a regular server and add 7-9 bots to it to ensure you get spawn-telefragged at map starts. 2. Connect a client to the server and join the game. 3. Use "changemap/nextmap" in the server console / RCON. 4. Upon being spawn-telefragged, notice how the message indicating respawn time stays much longer than intended. | ||||||||
Additional Information | It seems to be easier to reproduce the issue if you add a 2nd client to the server. And if the issue doesn't occur, maybe try to quit and restart the client .exe. It might be linked to the client's ticking offset relative to the server's. | ||||||||
