Summary0000309: View bobs after teleporting online (movebob)
DescriptionIf you alter your view with the mouse after using a teleporter, the view will bob until you move. The view also bobs when you are dead. If you use the chasecam cheat, you can see that the player is locked in the running animation. This only happens locally. Other clients will not see it.
Steps To ReproduceRecorded a demo of it with 98d. No extra files needed.
Additional Information* If you are a demo spectator when a demo ends, you will be a demo spectator when you start a new game.
* Demo spectators are different compared to normal spectators. They have no health / movebob.
* You can use the "freeze" command while watching a demo.

This also happens in nointermission maps when you fall down far enough. Your view will bob up and down in the next map. But your player will not be displayed as running.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Start a standard server with the example WAD loaded.
2) Connect a client to the server with an emulated ping of 100 ms.
3) Join the game.
4) Hold +forward.
5) When the view starts to glitch due to client misprediction, release +forward.

I have noticed this most when respawning (especially after being "spawn-fragged" at start because of too few coop starts).

You're right. This happens whenever a player is spawned.

The issues are now resolved (the demo issues need separate tickets). But there's a strange behavior in nointermission maps. If you have a high ping (603) you're allowed to move on the server before you're there locally. In the example WAD this means that you might unintentionally exit the map two times in a row when holding +forward.

I'm going to mark this as resolved. I'll create separate tickets for the other issues. I didn't manage to reproduce the extended demo spectator issue yet.
