Summary | 0001917: Upon changemap, player attempts to pick up any colliding Inventory items
Description | Self explanatory. When you enter a map through a changemap or exiting, any items you're colliding with when you enter the next map are immediately "picked up" - however, they won't get added to the inventory. Pickup and +AUTOACTIVATE use states still run, however. Confirmed not to happen (no pickup attempted until you move) in the latest GZDoom, Chocolate Doom 1.7, and PRBoom+ 2.5.1.3. Confirmed to happen in Zandronum 1.2, and the latest 2.0 beta.
Steps To Reproduce | 1) Open autopickup.wad. 2) Start a new game, and enter the exit teleporter. 3a) If in Zandronum, notice that the moment you enter the teleporter, you hear the weapon pickup sound. 3b) If if any of the ports mentioned, move and pick up a shotgun.

I recall there begin a change at some point in history where spawned players would immediately pick up whatever item they would spawn at because various CTF/DM maps would place weapons right on player spawns. Perhaps it is causing this? Should be an easy fix if it is as we'd just need to add a gamemode check. Of course we cannot rule out the possibility of an old ZDoom bug either. Does this happen in GZDoom r880?'http://www.mediafire.com/download/ya32argcdjc41mb/gzdoom-r880.7z [^]' |

So after some fun with GZDoom rendering really really badly in Wine, GZDoom r880 also has vanilla behaviour in this regard. |
