Description | This was just something I noticed while testing the latest voodoo doll crash fix by DrinkyBird.
For some reason items picked up by unassigned voodoo dolls with "sv_coopunassignedvoodoodolls 1", both online and in multiplayer emulation, disappear when picked up and don't respawn again when "sv_itemrespawn" is 1.
I'm not sure what the intended behavior here should be. From a map-making perspective, maybe one wouldn't want items picked up by voodoo dolls to respawn. However, the current behavior is inconsistent with the behavior when "sv_coopunassignedvoodoodolls" is 0, where the items picked up by voodoo dolls do respawn. And in addition to this, items picked up by voodoo dolls in true singleplayer do respawn when "sv_itemrespawn" is 1. |
Steps To Reproduce | 1. zandronum -host -file voodoodolltest_fixed_03b.wad +alwaysapplydmflags 1 +sv_itemrespawn 1 +sv_cheats 1
2. Connect a client to the server and join the game. "sv_coopunassignedvoodoodolls" is automatically set to 1 by default.
3. Press the switch and let the voodoo doll pick up the items. Notice how the items never respawn again. |
