Summary | 0004025: Morpher Changes (primarily from Q-Zandronum) | ||||||||
Description | Q-Zandronum has changes pertaining to Morphers that fix / add to them in very expandable ways and is something that people who have tried to use morphers end up complaining about. It would be nice to have some of these features ported over to the main Zandronum and thus expand on their capabilities and mod-usage. A few of these changes, for example: - Allowing Morphers to be affected by PowerSpeed, rather than requiring script usage to change Morpher speed. (Q-Zandronum) - +MORPHWEAPONSWITCH actor flag that allows weapon switching when morphed. (Q-Zandronum) - Possible allowing of crouching for Morphers? Overall, expanding on and fixing up the long-lasting complaints and issues with Morphers, while unimportant to most mods, would definitely be a nice add. | ||||||||

You know I probably should compile and clarify a lot more than just that I suppose. So let me start again, because in general morphers are flawed to a notorious degree to those that try and use them in online games. So, on behalf of a few others and remembering more issues.. alongside more possible suggestions.. + Morphers being affected by PowerSpeed, rather than relying on script usage. + +MORPHWEAPONSWITCH flag that allows Morphers to scroll through weapons. + Supposedly corpse/death related bugs with Morphers, particularly online (suggested by OrangeMario). (Instance: Clientside corpses just remaining there on death.) + Allow weapon bobbing for Morphers, since they do not have weapon bobbing. + Allow crouching for Morphers, since they cannot crouch. + Allow Morphers to pick up items. I obviously won't know for sure if these will be implemented into 3.2 and it's betas, but better to get the suggestions out there in my hopes at the very least. |

Most of the suggestions mentioned in this ticket have been addressed in 0004181. I'll just close this one. |
