Summary | 0002508: Add 'resetmus' CCMD to revert whatever 'stopmus' is doing.
Description | This describes how ZDoom modified behavior of stopmus CCMD: 'http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=49481 [^]' Before this modification it was useful to use stopmus to shut off the music, and if you decided you wanted it back you could always bring it back with snd_reset. Right now this is impossible. Both "changemus" and "idmus" CCMDs won't do if you don't know music lump names or if map changes music through ACS. As you can see, my question on ZDoom forums was ignored. Would it be possible to implement a "resetmus" CCMD that will restore music playback from before the "stopmus" CCMD?

While I'm not sure this works for music changed by ACS, typing "changemus *" changes to the original music, which might help. |

That's a bit... unintuitive. Could you share how did you know about this? |
Hypnotoad (reporter) 2015-10-27 23:41 |
Can't remember exactly how I found out, but the * syntax seems standard with zandronum, for instance the \c* colorcode resets the color back to default, I think there are other examples. |

So does "changemus *" already accomplish what you have in mind? |
Zalewa (developer) 2015-10-29 17:45 |
Yes, changemus * is fine by me. This ticket can be closed. |
