Summary | 0002223: 4K Resolution (3840 x 2160) results in crash
Description | While setting Zandronum to 3840x2160 (4K) in game, Zandronum will crash to Desktop. Setting these settings prior to launching game (in .ini file) will result in same crash as well. Any resolution under 1080p seems to work perfectly fine, but that could be due to my monitor supporting 1080p natively already.
Steps To Reproduce | 1) In Nvidia Control Panel, set DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution) to x4.00 (4 times 1080p) to allow for 4K down-sampling. 2) Launch Zandronum (DOOMII VANILLA) in native resolution (1080p for me). *Either setting desktop resolution to 3840x2160 prior to launching Zandronum or changing in game will still result in same crash. 3) Change resolution to 3840x2160 (FULLSCREEN) in game while running under OpenGL mode. 4) CRASH *NOTE* DSR, on Windows 7, seems to work perfectly fine with all other games I've tested. I've even tried tricking the game into switching my desktop resolution to 4K, and then launching the game and still result in the same crash. The only thing that seemed to work (for like 5 seconds more before crashing) was launching the game in 1080p windowed mode, setting desktop res to 4K, then switching the game to 4K in windowed mode. The game seemed to run for a few seconds before ultimately crashing to desktop again.
