Summary

0001960: Cannot playback demos from previous versions of Zandronum.

Description

When trying to play a demo via Doomseeker that was recorder in Zandronum 1.2.2 or earlier I get the error message "Unknown demo header 253!".

Steps To Reproduce

1) Open Doomseeker and press the big, blue play button.
2) Select a demo that was recorded with an earlier version of Zandronum and try to play it.
3) And... yes... You'll see what happens.

(0010587) Watermelon (developer) 2014-10-14 22:08	I believe demo's break between versions as protocols change. Could be wrong here. I also think Dusk made ZCinema to allow users to hook into other versions of zandronum to replay demos.

(0023433) Ru5tK1ng (updater) 2024-03-20 03:08	Simply the result of upgrading the codebase each major release. Perhaps when gzdoom parity is no longer required the demos will be stagnant.
