Summary | 0001474: ALLOWPARTICLES flag has no effect
Description | The example below replaces two actors. The first one adds -ALLOWPARTICLES to the Blood actor. The second adds +ALLOWPARTICLES to MiniMissilePuff, as a number of Strife actors seem to use this flag. Neither case changes anything. Particles still appear on blood, and particles still don't appear on Strife rocket trails. I figured since the flag appeared on a vanilla actor definition, it would work. Or am I wrong?

Do you know if this is something that is in zdoom or is this zandro specific? (ex: Does it happen in zdoom 2.5.0, if not, 2.7.1?) |

Not sure when this was fixed but as of 3.1 the flag is working on both blood and pufftypes OFFLINE. Blood works online but puffs do not and that's really related to the fact that they don't have NetIDs and thus flags can't be sync'd. Just for the record, the minimissile puff has not spawn state so you wouldn't see anything anyway unless you add one. |
