Summary | 0001260: (software renderer) really odd graphical problem, view frozen until alt-tab
Description | not sure how to reproduce it, had been playing for an hour or two. both times had been playing oblige megawads in coop. twice it was when a new level loaded, once it was during play of a level while i was switching weapons away from the RL to the SSG. the view of the level itself was completely frozen in place, audio still worked. pressing tab to get the map worked fine, pressing escape caused weird graphical garbage (but i could still hear / move in the menu). after a little while (~10-15 seconds) pressing the map key and moving around caused HOMs to appear in the map screen. nobody else i was playing with experienced this. i've played many many other wads w/ zandronum, everything was fine. i havent changed any settings recently either, except i briefly turned gl on for another map and then turned it off after. maybe that affected another hidden setting? alt-tabbing fixed it immediately. uses doom2.wad as the iwad 'http://rottking.unidoom.org/ohno.zip [^]' the wad this time using tnt.wad as the iwad was: 'http://rottking.unidoom.org/TNTOHNO.zip [^]' we were all using this skin: 'http://rottking.unidoom.org/dsp.zip [^]' regular ohno.wad (this was the weapon switch one): 'http://i.imgur.com/LMWXNkU.png [^]' during tntohno.wad (the stream was from another player's viewpoint who didnt get the glitch but hey it might help!): 'http://i.imgur.com/YfHRAuG.png [^]' 'http://www.twitch.tv/rottking/b/359432617?t=45m12s [^]' 'http://i.imgur.com/RvrpXD5.png [^]' 'http://www.twitch.tv/rottking/b/359432617?t=53m47s [^]' i'm on win7, nvidia 9700m, intel cpu. attached my ini file

Does it happen in zdoom? |
(0005824) anotak (reporter) 2013-01-25 23:23 |

That looks like a problem with your system. How often does this happen? |

Oddly enough, it hasn't happen since the times I reported. The first time it happened, I opened up a temperature monitor program and everything seemed fine. I have had overheating problems in other games (as in 3d-card-abusing DX9+ modern graphics games), so my thought was "oh no, my graphics card is dying", but it wasnt the case.... I've never visual problems from overheating in other games either, just the computer turning off. Never in a doom port. also, if it was a hardware problem, would i even be able to take a screenshot like that? i'm not really sure how that works |

Does it happen in 2.0? Or gzdoom latest? |
