Summary | 0001259: Weapon.sisterWeapon and KEYCONF issues | ||||||||
Description | When you define a Weapon.SisterWeapon in a weapon and define that weapon's slot with KEYCONF, apparently previous/next weapon gets really messed up, in that you won't be able to cycle through weapons properly. | ||||||||
Steps To Reproduce | Download the attached wad. Summon "MySuperShotgun". Try to cycle through, you'll notice that it won't cycle properly, as in, it will kind of get stuck at times. (I think it only happens when you try to next weapon, but in the mod I'm working on this is severe as at certain occasions you can't even change the weapon after picking it up) | ||||||||

Happens with the build taken from here:'http://zandronum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=4114 [^]' -- Here's a new test file that shows the issue on a newer level.'https://www.dropbox.com/s/0g5a687wqooat7t/sisterbug2.pk3 [^]' How to produce the bug: 1) Give " Pistol " 2) Give "TriggerPower" 3) Use the item. 4) Your new pistol won't use ammo, cool. Now try to switch weapons. It actually switches to the previous " Pistol ", however before you use the powerup weapon switching is absolutely messed up and there's no KEYCONF this time. EDIT: Worth mentioning that I tested in Survival. EDIT-2: Tested on Zdoom 2.5 and 2.7.1, doesn't work on 2.5 but works on 2.7.1. |

This bug also affects custom weapons in Heretic in which prev/next weapon tries to switch to the non-existent Powered-Up sister weapon. However, the bug seems to be solved in Zan beta 3.0 150718. |
