Summary | 0000566: Recording demos with freelook false, then watching them forces all player's freelook false
Description | Title pretty much sums it up. Got a test demo aswell.
Steps To Reproduce | Record a demo with freelook disabled. Best would be with railguns. Watch the demo again and notice all player's freelook is disabled but they still aim vertically.
Additional Information | I am unsure if this has been reported before.

Can somebody confirm that this actually has to do with the player's freelook setting and is not just a limitation of the demo system? Player's are not informed about the pitch of other players unless they are looking through their eyes. |

Well, by experience. When I record a demo, it just records the freelook view of the player when I was following, or myself when i'm playing. (In other words it records your screen view.) Note when you F12 for someone who wasn't "F12ed" during the record, it will have no freelook. |

That's the expected and intended behavior. |

Just a curiosity: how many bytes per tic the client sends to the server the freelook coordinates information? If it's high, then I'm not surprised about that behaviour. |

One coop spy information update of one player to one client needs 16 bytes. The mandatory movement, momentum, etc. update needs 24 bytes. So always sending the coop spy info would raise the movement related traffic from 24 to 40 bytes. |

This works correctly. r3299 records the pitch of the player whom you are coopspying in the demo. |
