Summary | 0004407: LocalAmbientSound should not play for demo spectators, for IDL CTF-style demos |
Description | For certain map packs like the IDL CTF wads, that also emulate older ZDoom and ZDaemon versions, they use wads like skullspree4a.wad that mimic the spree system of ZDaemon. The problem with watching demos of these wads is that the demo spectator is forced to listen to the local spree announcements for the demo recorder.
It should be made so that the demo spectator is free to observe the game more independently from the demo recorder's perspective. This would make it more fun for users to watch demos, especially CTF ones. |
Steps To Reproduce | 1. zandronum -file localambientsound_demo_01.wad -playdemo localambientsound_demo_01.cld
2. Use "spectate" or "demo_spectatefreely" and notice how the spree sounds play at full volume for you as a spectator. |
Additional Information | Demo recorded with 3.1. |
