Summary0003023: STCFN198 error
DescriptionI've been trying to make a mod for MM8BDM that allows you to display Icelandic text, and my first step is to add STCFN lumps for each of the missing characters. They work well except for one character: STCFN198, representing Æ. It just doesn't display. I tried adding the character to its lowercase equivalent, STCFN230, but it doesn't work.
Steps To Reproduce(1) Download file
(2) Enter a map
(3) Type "æ" (somehow)
Additional InformationCouldn't test on GZDoom.

Unlike the other characters, Zandronum doesn't fill in with a similar-enough character if you don't have the STCFN lump (e.g. P instead of Þ, D instead of Ð)

I'm pretty sure Æ would map to STCFN198. All other characters I could test have their UTF-8 encoding fit their STCFN lump name (e.g. L, which is U+004C, maps to STCFN76, and 4C is the hexadecimal equivalent of 76)

P.S.: Æ displays just fine in the console.

Does Zandronum 2.1.2 behave any differently?

No, it doesn't.

Also, maybe I shouldn't have set the "Reproducability" as "always". Is there some way to edit the issue details?

P.S. On US-International keyboards, you can enter Æ by holding down AltGr and pressing Z.

I think you can't edit the details, but if I understood your report correctly, setting "Reproducability" to "always" is correct.

Can you test if this works in the latest GZDoom version?

I can't test it. I downloaded GZDoom but couldn't get it to work.
edit: Dærp. I gave the Æ character the wrong name. You can close this issue.
