Summary0002909: Evading master server ban list with IP that is listed on master banlist
DescriptionSome time ago while doing stuff with server/client on local network I have observed that doomseeker on one computer connected (I am sure) from network that is banned by *you* just after second computer was rejected from same network since *master banned*, did pass the banlist and communicated with master server. I am not sure how is this possible tbh. But I managed to join game with my banned ip.

So I have 2 computers that are using banned in network.
Both run doomseeker or simply try to communicate master server I guess. ( the trick must be in Ip layer or even the lower one what is VERY peculiar ).
Somehow one is rejected when other manages to communicate.
Master ban evaded with masterbanned IP.

Let me be straight. I am not going to give any more feedback on this. You may either ignore it or try to find how to trigger it and fix.
At some point I will try to exploit it but have no time to look for it for now.
+ I have good gates for playing that are not on your shitty banlist anyway so it's not like I have this urge to use that certain compromised IP. But if I find way of exploiting it ofc-> no way I will give any more info on it. There will be too much fun with it, hue. Extremely 2 muh fun.

It happened I belive 3-6 weeks ago.

Steps To Reproduce2 computers in master banned network try to connect to master server.
One fails when other not. (maybe some more magic is needed that I missed ).

After it happened I managed to reproduced it one more time after longer time of trying. Than left it since It works only some short time. But I guess the master server checks only IP when you join the game so the time is enough to trick it and play after it like your legit.

I did join a game with it. But I was doing something else at that time so i left and have no idea if it would kick me after some time.

I belive one computer was on cable when other on wifi.

 I tried it day when this message apeared here. I am banned on master btw. Thought its bs anyway, so havent posted here.

How i actually tried it.

1) tried connect to master via cable on my desktop pc (showed me i am banned)
2) after short while i tried connect via wifi on my notebook (showed me again i am banned)

I tried for while connect to master. With wifi and desktop pc. Tried couple of functions even direct connect ip to server, reseting router etc. Was still banned. I dunno i think its whole just bullshit. :-D There can be some holes in security of master server. And maybe even bannned ppl can very rare join some server. I think it happens. Dunno when and how tho...
