0002732: Joystick does not function

Description

I am using a steelseries 1GC controller on my computer. It works fine with other programs but is not detected by Zandronum 2.1.2. I found an issue posted that says this has been fixed for 10.04 but Ubuntu doesn't allow downgrading operating system versions. I would like to see this fixed since it would make Doom much easier to play on my computer.

Steps To Reproduce

I rebooted my PC, started Zandronum, Selected Options, joystick options, changed enable controller support to yes. The screen shows no controller detected. Exiting and restarting zandronium with or without reboot does not affect joystick detection. My joystick is detected in other applications.
