Summary | 0002600: Wad swapping in a maplist/playlist
Description | In a now-trashed post, Torr mentioned that Zandronum 3.0 contains support for the restart command: Torr Samaho said: As others already said, loading / unloading wads in Zandronum would essentially require to restart the whole engine with the new wad list. What nobody mentioned yet is that ZDoom introduced a restart console command some time ago, long enough so that it's already in 3.0. The restart command already allows you to specify the new wad list. Would it possible to somehow integrate this feature into the maplist (or my playlist idea, see ticket 2360) somehow? Allowing for WAD switching has other ramifications - Doomseeker would either need to know ALL of the WAD files in use on the server ahead of time so it could download them, or Zandronum would need the ability to download files on the fly like Odamex.
