Summary0001317: Sometimes posts will show up as "undefined" and are unable to be edited
DescriptionCertain posts will not show any content other than text saying "undefined"
The post can not be edited (it will keep saying "undefined") but the edit reason can be edited, as seen in one post (ie.'http://zandronum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=676&pid=8157#pid8157 [^]' )
Steps To ReproduceI haven't tried it yet, but one thing in common with 2 users was that they were using the Quick Post function.

I have disabled Quick Reply for the time being, but to re-enable it (ie. to test it and fix it) just go to the admin control panel: Configuration tab > Settings > Show Thread Options, and then you should see the Show Quick Reply Form option there

 I don't think it's related to quick reply in threads. There was a case with a PM with "undefined" as well.
I would actually first test/disable the string replacement as this started when infurnus employed it for April fools.

 I seem to be able to edit the posts just fine. From a quick search this looks like it could be a JavaScript issue, what browser are you using and what skin are you using?

I assume the string replacement is done server side so, given that mybb doesn't have any instance of "undefined" in php, I doubt that's the case, but it wouldn't hurt to disable it I guess.

 This pre-dates the april fools thing, as seen in the examples. I'm not sure what could be causing it.
Also, the "unable to edit posts" thing applies -only- to posts that show up as "undefined"; all regular posts can still be edited.

EDIT: also, if you mean the "Board style: PRAY TO LORD IGOR" thing in the user options, that also pre-dates april fools, and is a null option that effects nothing. If you want I can remove it, as it's not "Octoberweenmas" any more

EDIT 2: For the life of me, I can not replicate this. I'll see if I can get in contact with the effected users

 Do you think it might be a user privileges issue? I'm stumped on this one

EDIT: I wonder if they use internet explorer? I don't encounter the problem with Chrome on any of the parent/major themes

 Got in contact with someone having the issue. They were using Internet Explorer 9 and Norton Antivirus. The latter is important since it apparently is killing the javascript off the site.

Because of this, the only solution I can think of is to either disable JavaScript for this site (it should degrade gracefully) or switch to another anti virus.
