In that case then, maybe also posting a screenshot describing the HUD elements, and each menu; the stats, skill selection and alchemy ones.

Indeed, makes it more visually appealing. A lot of things of help really, you could add how to use the compatibility patches, how to activate the CVars and whatnot, for new players that ought to be mighty useful.

Updated the strife patch, now the shopkeepers should actually display what they are selling and they now sell more things. Also fixes a few bugs with the scripting and npc idling.

I noticed a small graphics glitch while playing Hexen with this mod I thought I would share. It is not a big problem, but if any type of HQ texture pack is used while playing(I tried multiple texture packs) the purple bishop enemies in the Heresiarch's Seminary have white squares around their projectiles. Here is a screenshot.

How does Strife and Hexen feel when combined? I can hardly imagine :o

I get a fatal error when I try and load WoC with strife patch, both on 1.0 and 1.1.1, the patch is the thing causing the problem, it loads proberly without it.

I get this as well.


The empty flask sprite bugged me because it looks like there's actually something in it (water, maybe?). I made an "emptier" looking one if you'd like to use it:

Maybe I should've mentioned that the Strife Patch is only compatible on (G)ZDooM. Oops. Also thanks for the empty flask sprite, needed an actual empty one.

Thetis: Whether something is Zandronum Compatible, (G)ZDoom Compatible, or both is kinda Important. If you post stuff in the ZANDRONUM forums, most people tend to assume it's Zandro Compat unless stated otherwise.

EDIT: I've seen the "White Squares" graphic bug before. Particularly on Stronghold's Fusion Spider's Fusion Plasma.

Hmm, I never noticed that, I'll see what I can do.
I just recently made a fix, named it wrathofcronosr1_5cbeta3HQFIX and uploaded it to best ever servers.org. I took the projectile from the red and black bishop enemy(it only happens with the purple ones) and colored it purple, renamed it, and put it into the Disciple sprite folder replacing his old projectile sprites.

I recommend making that an external patch by simply putting the replacement sprites into a different wad and loading it after my version.

Will do. There is another small graphics glitch with HQ Textures I have no idea how to go about fixing. If you use the mod in HexenDD or Heretic, water and lava are not animated. They do not play through their images, and appear "frozen". I feel bad leaving posts about this stuff, as this is the best mod I have ever seen for these games and I do not mean to sound unappreciative, but I just thought I would let you know. Keep up the amazing work.

Hey guys,

I realize it's bad form to ask about another port on here and also forgive my newbieness but could someone explain to me if this great mod could be made to work with Doomsday port? I'm pretty used to the interface and all, got a bunch of other mods etc but this mod doesn't want to work. Alternatively, could someone walk me through how I could get this mod to load with another pk3 mod like the high res texture mod (which doesn't seem to work in gzdoom if just extracted)? I am totally lost with both gzdoom and zan, no idea how to load multiple pk3 files even after going through readmes? For example, just to get this mod to work in Heretic I'd need that feature, not to even mention using it alongside several other gfx or whatever mods. Anyone? :)

Doomsday doesn't have Decorate and making WOC in dehacked must be a very terrible experience.

Right, so how would I get both this and another .pk3 mod working together? In Doomsday it's just a case of putting all the stuff you want into the JHeretic/Hexen/whatever directory and from there you can further select gameplay mods on a drop-down list. Here, the only thing I can see is the .ini file which gets automatically changed whenever I run gzdoom anyway. As for zandronum, I'm even more clueless..

Drag&Drop multiple pk3s together onto zandronum.exe or use Doomseeker to run them File->Create Server->Play Offline -after choosing wads-.. Some wads conflict with each other and can't be run together.

Select the mod files you want to use and drag them onto the gzdoom or zandronum executable, but remember the order you click them determines what order they boot up in.[/align]

Aw jeez, that simple, is it? *feels daft* Also just realized there is a way to use the hd mod in hexen anyway.. this http://www.moddb.com/games/hexen/addons ... xture-pack goes nicely with WoC for the best hexen experience to date :)

*edit* Right, well, seems I had two texture packs around and the one for Doomsday apparently wasn't quite the same as the one in the link above.. wow.. it actually worked easily the whole time I just didn't realize these were the hq textures >.< Anyways, thanks for the help guys, everything works great now.

After a long time, I went and updated Wrath of Cronos. This update contains balance fixes with a big change to how players gain new abilities, now based on skill points spent instead of levels. Also, slaughterfest maps should be a bit more stable after this.

Great! Any chance of more details? In general? That page the other guy is doing is great but sadly there's only info on the fighter so far.. would be great to find out more about the mechanics of other classes + what these new changes are.
