Please. You're making it seem like it's a big deal. You can always turn taunts back on when the spamfest is gone. I usually turn off taunts in Idiotic LMS when people start spamming barney's taunt, then turn it back on after a while.

Orrrr a CCMD to ignore a certain player's taunts by index, if you know who it's coming from.

It's more specific than disabling taunts altogether with cl_taunts 1, but honestly taunt spamming doesn't bother me anymore. Only if it's the Cirno skin from vrskins or the Roadrunner from RBCskins.

Yeah, I just thought of that. Also an option to disable taunts for certain skins/classes, or replace them with the default taunt or something.
I've been writing ideas for a zandronum client that has lots of features that help you get the annoying shit out of the way. Hopefully I will turn those ideas into actual code soon.

It is a system that is easily spammable (to some extent), yet you say the people who spam it are the problem. It has never been considered significant enough of an exploit (if you'd even call it that) for devs to change up the way it works, because the problem is commonly solved by disabling the taunt system, which makes it the very definition of a solution, contrary to what you said. Don't be trying to fault players for something you can easily avoid with a single command. At the very least, you should wish for something similar to what Aenima suggested.

Correct, and someone already mentioned the REAL solution, which is to have a cooldown on it or auto-mute after excessive use.
