Yes, it's slowly getting forgeting.
The gold age of "multiplayer modern port" was on skulltag 97 era, but also it was the era when really great mods were introduced (all out war, who dun it, jump maze, ghouls vs humans, zombie horde [couf blood zombie horde],Armagedon...).
Today the same mods still exists, being fixed or trying to be fixed the unbalanced fixes that were added by the time.
I think now that all this inovative/creative mods are know, people are starting to get bored of it, and since there isn't any new mods like the same level they were in a frequente timing, people are slowly going for other games...
I'll not lie, what made me get stucked in zandronum/skulltag was the multiplayer, it was the first multiplayer game I ever played (on skulltag 97), and, the experience was amazing, it's still cool, but, playing the same mods by 5 or 7 years is starting to get bored (as an example of jump maze, before I was a completly noob, now I know every single map, still not the best player, but the jump maze magic is now gone)
I don't see any problem with bagel horde, if I wanted to play doom I would know I'm into the wrong port, bagel horde was like a extra life for zombie horde, it worked for a while, and now, it disapeared.
