Any non-SR50 users out there?

I just wanna point out that I've never used enhancements because quite frankly... why use steroids when you can learn to be better. So yeah the reason why people bitch that I suck is because: 1)I'm always getting banned(well not any more) 2)using shit connections from time to time 3)fade in and out of the community from time to time and lastly, I don't use SR-50, 40... only the default. 30, right?

40 is the default, normal strafing.

30 is when you run with just move forward key, it's not even strafing

After trying SR50 i'd say I prefer classic straferunning. I'm used to turn a lot. An usually I go faster by jumping. =P

I tend to act like I'm oldschool sr50ing on dos even though I use the sr50 alias. That means I pretty much straferun, hold my sr50 button(which would simply be strafe button on vanilla) AND slide my mouse in the direction that I'm straferunning in. I doubt it makes me faster, but it does seem to help with tight maneuvering in idl maps like map14.

Everyone says I'm so fast...and this is coming from people who also use sr50, so I dunno.

Legion is turning into a great o player with only SR40. I don't SR50 either, but I play D more than o.

I'm not a competitive player, but I've seldom seen a situation I've gotten into where SR50 would've saved my life or prevented it from happening. Therefore I've never really had a compelling reason to "install" it.

Also, 80% of it is because I'm lazy.

Your speed can be nothing less than sr75

i never noticed a large increase in speed with sr-50 and me timing it i was getting the same time with SR-40 so same speed maybe im just doin it wrong xD

I mostly stick to SR40. I sometimes use SR50 to make some otherwise stupid jump, but in normal gameplay, it's not worth it. In DM and competitive modes, it's sometimes even counter productive as it makes your movement a little more predictable and harder to control and influence.

Only use it when running with the flag, for fast getaways and jumps that SR40 won't make the first time around.

It's fine if people dont want to become competitive to not use sr-50 but it's needed at most times on CTF and 1v1. Also you dont have to use the bind for sr-50. All you need to do is press turn left, strafe, strafe left (or for right both turn right and strafe right). Before I knew how to manually sr-50 I was half the player I am nowadays.

I use SR50 but not...alot i personally feel like its almost the same speed as sr40 and sometimes i dont even notice the difference between the two, and also i use SR40 for almost 2/3 of my movements anywhere so i am extremely used to it as well :/ SR40 all the way \:D/

Used to activate it on my every move. Now that I heard some players saying it is not necessary I started using SR-40 for more complicated movement and for rushing so that I can swingshot my opponet more easily and so far it has proven efficient... Still use it regularly when I need to outrun someone though, However I still need to find the correct balance between SR40 and SR50 usage.
