Since doom has been all too boring for me lately I've decided to make Stupid LMS's hats compatible with every mod ever (not really).

To set a hat, type in hatmenu in the console.

Features
  • ACS Menu - Use an acs menu to select your hat!
  • Autoload - This mod can automatically load hats without the user doing anything. So for instance, if you had the "halo" hat equipped in a zombie horde server using this mod, and then you decided to switch to a samsara server using this mod, it will automatically load the halo hat for you.
  • Compatibility - This mod uses scripts 170 - 180. Which means any mod that doesn't use scripts 170 - 180 will work perfectly.
  • Compatibility+ - This also will adjust the hats' height based on actors on the mod. So for instance, if you're a zombie in zombie horde, the hat will spawn higher than it normally would so it doesn't look silly. Also, the hats won't spawn if you're a ghoul in GvH.
  • Unlockable Hats - You can unlock hats now by playing certain mods, if you've played the correct mod with hats then a message will appear and tell you that you've unlocked a new hat.
To-do
  • Add an option to disable hats if you don't like it.
  • Add more hats!

  • Hats don't disappear on death sometimes.

Ok so HATS! R2 is out! With this version comes the introduction if Ijon who managed to fix up the code and now we have these wonderful changes:
  • New ACS-based hat selection!
  • Deathrun supported!
  • Hats smoother than ever!
  • New hat commands! (type in hathelp in console)
  • Crouch support
  • Hats will go fully invisible with stealth class
  • New fedora hat

weird, cause the last time i played with this mod(in a deathrun server) there were only a few hats, but not any from stlms D:

This mod is great. I was playing In a Whodunit server earlier with hats and it was awesome. I thought it would be cool if you could add Luigi's hat, Link's cap, or even a head-sucking Metroid as a few suggestions.

Alright guys now R4 is out, the biggest change here is that we've introduced an unlockable hats. To unlock hats you just simply have to play the correct wads with the hat mod. But which mod? Lets have some fun figuring it out ;)

New UNLOCKABLE hats
  • Rocket Jumper - Play a certain 2007 rocket jumping wad
  • Melee Prayer - Play a certain wad that involves a lot of melee
  • Afro - Play SOSP, and get the funkmaster's afro!
  • Flem Mine - Play a certain mod that has chexguy as a playable character
New free hats
  • Watermelon
  • Bananas
  • Pirate Hat (arrg)
  • Steak
Second biggest thing you'll notice is that hats will now drop properly if you die, so you don't have possessed floating turbans anymore.

And finally when you load up the mod for the first time it'll give you a message on how to load hats.

Anyways, I was planning on re-releasing SOSp since there's problems with the decorate code as far as some people not liking prohibiting content I put in it and the fact that the same code is really game breaking. So, this gives me more initiative to re-release a fixed up SOSp.


Aside from all that, this mod is amazing and hilarious, and now I get to walk around with my own amazing 'fro.
