It's ok, people get over those in a week. (It happened before during old gvh days) Though, you could try starting games yourself, people usually just follow the crowd.

Just asking to make sure that I didn't misinterpret your statement: "may not" as in you forbid server runners to load your mod with other wad files unless you explicitly whitelist them?

I think he meant that they simply wont load with other gvh versions because of all the cool stuff they put inside, which isn't present in anything other than gvh:lod

Maybe you should've said "you can't host this properly with any other version of gvh than the one specified by me" instead of sounding like a licensing restrictment;

So, I put up a poll with a very simple question. Should Santa be removed? If you think he should or shouldn't please take the time to also make a post here explaining why.

He'll be replaced by some class we have yet to think of in the case he gets to be removed.

please remove it D:! its just for camp, most of SPM use it, i would like to see their face without their camp class :D, but seriously, it dont make sense have santa in the list so my vote is for: "remove it"

i kinda like santa's guns, but the holy ninja stars and the star cannon make him a pro-camp class, so yes, i think he shall be removed. also, im with Kat, i want to see those noobs faces when he gets removed :D

Santa's primary weapon is an awkward clone of the engineer's primary weapon (they are the one and same class if we go back to the roots, after all), the hollystars are awkward to use at best and the star launcher is - while very efficient - very limited in ammo, and without any "comfortable" weapon (see: the shotgun) to fall back to after its ammo runs out makes it a very shortlived class that's generally not very fun at all once the starlauncher ammo runs out.

tl;dr He both lacks a comfortable fall-back weapon and the concept is a one-time joke for Frozen Demise's release date wherefrom he originates.

Something more solid would be appreciated.

Yeah, it seems like a good reason to me.

EDIT: I think I can explain why I find it funny.

That class starts with a powerful weapon: the Star Launcher. But to deal a good ammount of damage you have to get close enough to the ghouls, which is hazardous. And I get the feeling I should use it quick before they kill me. The other powerful weapon is the present trap thing, but I use it mostly to place hollies quicker, so I wouldn't mind if you remove it.

Well, that's my play style, at least.

IMO if Santa was to be removed, he should at least be replaced with some other "I have 50 guns, but I forgot to take spare ammo" class. He is the only... hm, how do I put that... All other classes have 2 weapons with limited ammo, and by killing ghouls, they received some more (in most cases). Santa had 3 'ammoed' weapons, and he couldn't refill his inventory, so he was sort of a "glass cannon" class, good for five minutes and then just terrible. And that was cool about him. He was op, but as soon as he ran out of his toys, he is dead. Replace the playerclass, but let the playerclass style stay.
