Oh my god yes. This will make Zandronum a heck of a lot more addicting for me since I'll be able to see my progress build up and maybe/eventually look at my stats and feels like a god.

Seriously though, great work Water. Even if I won't be using it much myself, I'm glad to see that great strides are still being taken to better this game and community. I hope you continue this work until it's perfected, and I hope your contributions to Zandronum don't stop here. It's devs like you, Torr and Alex that make this place so great and I am personally eternally thankful that we have such wonderful developers who dedicate their own time and energy into giving us, the players, a better game to play and enjoy. Seriously, thank you.

The new server uses an account system for people to connect. You register in #priv on irc.zandronum.com via IRC and after approval, your account is ready to connect to any server! [...] The reason we need proof that you are who you are is because of idiots like Shadowfox [...] As you can see, nothing can really ban all the VPN's he uses, but this account system will lock him out.
How will the account system lock out people? Will people who don't use accounts be unable to go into servers?

I understand this is primarily for competitive purposes for now, but if this starts picking up on non-competitive server clusters as well, at some point in the hypothetical maybe possible chance future will there be an ability for server admins to opt out of barring people without accounts from coming in?

I like the idea of having a mod being able to read someone's account for things like an experience system, leveling up, achievements, and etc, but I'd definitely not want to keep people from playing it entirely just because they don't want an account.

I put a CVAR on my servers that disables people requiring the password to log in. I just enforce it because griefers like shadowfox. It is completely optional.

I am not the person who is into these kinda statistics, I focus on my current skill, not the shit that happened in the past, it's unchangeable anyway.
I like the idea though, as long as it is optional, you have my money.

Although the finished product had some problems (broken Randteams, missing caps stats) now everything seems to be smooth again, great job.
