ZDA (Zandronum Duel Association)
RE: ZDA (Zandronum Duel Association)
I would like to say that the regular season of the Zandronum Duel Association (ZDA) is over and we are now venturing into the post-season aka The Playoffs. Since some players did not finish up their games or failed to upload demos, I cannot grant you any points as the deadline has passed therefore, you have received a DQ of your missing games.
The Playoffs will be a WIN or GO HOME scenario. Best of 3 games. Same rules apply, just when it goes to round 3, both players MUST SELECT RANDOM AND CHOOSE SKIP. If it is the same map that you and your opponent played during either your first or second round, it does not matter. You must play that map.
To view the Playoff brackets, view the first post of this thread and click the spoiler tag labeled "ZDA Bracketology." The Playoffs are in a seeding format therefore some players have a number by their name which tells you what your seeding number is.
Good luck to all players and I am expected to crown champion at-least by Memorial Day which is May 25th. Players should at-least play your opponent by each week to keep the tournament moving. If someone is holding up progress, I will DQ that player(s). Remember to play on the OFFICIAL ZDA Server that is hosted.

RE: ZDA (Zandronum Duel Association)
damn too bad I've missed the sign ups, seems like a nice tourney so far, good luck with the playoffs
RE: ZDA (Zandronum Duel Association)
@Xaver: As stated earlier, wished more players would have registered and stayed playing in this Association but players make their own decision to withdraw which I am not upset about.
Do not forget to screenshot your medal counts as I am still tallying them up as it is a close race in the medal categories still.
Mathayus (2) <> Avc (1)
Demo is split into two parts as Avc went to eat therefore we played a few hour(s) later to finish matchup.

RE: ZDA (Zandronum Duel Association)
Well Zandronum Players, I hate to announce this but the Zandronum Duel Association has come to an end. We have a winner and that player is RoSKing! Congratulations to RoSKing for winning the ZDA and coming in 1st Place. Congratulations also to Ammar for coming in 2nd Place in the ZDA.
I would like to thank AlexMax for letting NJ Funcrusher to be the place to host ZDA. I thank you again AlexMax for allowing ZDA be ran on your servers.
Shout out to the Zandronum Staff for making a great port to play on. Zandronum is a great place to play I like to call Quake Doom and see great success in future.
Cannot forget the players that registered. Shout out to all players that participated in ZDA and playing to the end. You did not quit unlike several players and stayed and continued with the ZDA. I thank you for staying.
FAQ that I get:
Q: Where did you get the ZDA idea from?
A: I got the idea from ZDaemon Duel League that was a popular duel league on Zdaemon. I liked the format it was and I like to watch NBA therefore I made the ZDA a replica of the ZDDL with a NBA type feel.
Q: Why did you not replace withdrawn players?
A: I choose not to replace withdrawn players because I felt like I gave players ample time to consider this league (2 weeks) and feel that was good enough plus the league started and not more entry was allowed.
Q: Why ZDA did not run set-maps?
A: ZDA specialty is for players to Duel on all the selected maps that were available. The idea was for the player to win BOTH Home and on the Road games. Meaning the Player should try to win their game and win the opponents game.
Q: What did you use to make the layout, looks professional?
A: I just used Microsoft Excel and Adobe to make it less bland.
Q: Will there be another ZDA in future?
A: Perhaps but I would not hold thy breath. Maybe in the Fall or Winter.
I hope you guys enjoyed this league as much as I have. It was a good 2 month run tourney. Looking forward to maybe doing more in future. Stay Conscious! An admin/moderator can move this event as it is completed.

RE: ZDA (Zandronum Duel Association)
Good job Math for getting this successful tourney finished, and congrats to Rosking for winning.
RE: ZDA (Zandronum Duel Association)
Yeah congrats and well run tourney although I found some players quite hard to contact, also in future I wull not rely on others to upload demo (Maybe stipulate that both should upload to avoid this)
