Re: ZCC - Zandronum Community Client [v1.6 Zandronum 3.0]
Hi,
I've compiled this successfully on linux and When I tried to join an online session it said my version was different.
Server uses: 3.0-r170901-1140
You use: 3.0-r170915-2017
**EDIT
I also couldn't help but notice there was no 3.0 stable tag on the bitbucket, Just 2.1.2

Re: ZCC - Zandronum Community Client [v1.6 Zandronum 3.0]
I just found out that ZCC for some reason doesn't work on Windows XP from my friend who tried to boot the client on his computer, yet Zandro 3.0 works on it. Did you compile ZCC with MSVC 2017 or something else that removes Windows XP suppport?
EDIT: Just checked on my Windows XP install. I confirmed that XP really is not supported by ZCC. It shows this error message: https://imgur.com/a/u1MJc. It says that ZCC is not Win32 application.

Re: ZCC - Zandronum Community Client [v1.6 Zandronum 3.0]
ZCC isn't compiled with an _xp toolset so that's why. But who the fuck even uses XP nearly 4 years after its EOL anyway?AgitatedSkellington wrote: ↑Fri Dec 22, 2017 12:47 amI just found out that ZCC for some reason doesn't work on Windows XP from my friend who tried to boot the client on his computer, yet Zandro 3.0 works on it. Re: ZCC - Zandronum Community Client [v1.6 Zandronum 3.0]
I'll give a few examples who still might use XP: people, who cannot afford a new computer, people who are stuck with some old computer, because newer one is dead, or people who just like using Windows XP. Or, in my case, I wanted to confirm if XP really doesn't work.

Re: ZCC - Zandronum Community Client [v1.6 Zandronum 3.0]
I used to be in the same boat. I'm now on this laptop that is running Windows 10 (came with stock Windows 8 when I bought it) If anything, I guess if there is some that use XP, you can build with the toolset? I would attempt to do so but.. I have no way of testing to see if it works on XP as I don't have my pc that ran XP anymore. That and its been so long since I compiled Zandronum. So... yeaAgitatedSkellington wrote: ↑Fri Dec 22, 2017 10:37 amI'll give a few examples who still might use XP: people, who cannot afford a new computer, people who are stuck with some old computer, because newer one is dead, or people who just like using Windows XP. ...
Re: ZCC - Zandronum Community Client [v1.6 Zandronum 3.0]
So it says in the OP that Zandronum 3.0 has auto login by default...but I can't figure out how to get that to work. I have to manually log in every time. Unless you mean it's possible to just put that in an autoexec of sorts..

Re: ZCC - Zandronum Community Client [v1.6 Zandronum 3.0]
As stated in post #161 I am still wondering if there is source available for the Current Zandronum 3.0 stable so that I may use it on linux. Specifically for 3.0-r170901-1140.
The bitbucket has no 3.0 Tag.

Re: ZCC - Zandronum Community Client [v1.6 Zandronum 3.0]
The commit which adds the 3.0 tag isn't in the ZCC repository yet as it was never pulled.
Zandronum's source is here by the way.
In case you're trying to build normal Zandronum to fix your online version error, you just have to replace the gitinfo.h file's content with that of a gitinfo.h generated for 3.0.
The file is re-written each time you build so you'll have to make it read-only or find a way to stop revision_check (I don't know how, I never build on Linux).
If you want to generate the 3.0 gitinfo.h yourself, here's the commit you have to build.
There's a ticket about this whole thing by the way, in case you would like to show support for it.

Re: ZCC - Zandronum Community Client [v1.6 Zandronum 3.0]
How to get that bobbing features into the new zandronum? v3.0 is a bit obsolete
Re: ZCC - Zandronum Community Client [v1.6 Zandronum 3.0]
I'v found the bug.
It's about BobStyle
"Inversed Smooth" is exactly same as "Quake 1"
even if it's in weapon's decorate, without this mod it works correct, but with, all weapons with "Inversed Smooth" bobstyle, or if "Inversed Smooth" selected in zcc options it will be acting like it's "Quake 1"
Please fix, otherwise i will have to fix half of my weapons to use "alpha style" instead of "Inversed Smooth" in order to enjoy this mod

Re: ZCC - Zandronum Community Client [v1.6 Zandronum 3.0]
When using openal, the sound was strange, so I deliberately crashed and saw the log, but the openal32.dll was not loaded.
It seems to have been discontinued in 3.1, so please ignore it.

For some reason, the SR50 binds make my aim "snap" at slightly desync'd angles if I'm turning left/right as I press the SR50 button.

Re: ZCC - Zandronum Community Client [v1.6 Zandronum 3.0]
Hi, I tried checking out the BitBucket repository but unfortunately the website returns 404.
I am wondering if by any chance the source code could be made available to the public once again.
Or, if there are other links where it is already available, if these links could be added to the main post.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: ZCC - Zandronum Community Client [v1.6 Zandronum 3.0]
Hello.
So a few people have been asking me for the ZCC source somewhat recently.
Turns out bitbucket just outright deleted old hg repos and I wasn't expecting this.
I even checked my mails to see if they would send a recovery link or something but no luck.
So anyways, I could have sworn I had a local copy laying around somewhere, but even that seems to be lost.
So for now, it seems the ZCC source is just lost.
However, if anyone reading this has a local copy still laying around, that could really help out some people.
If you don't know what to do with it, you can just zip it up and put a link in this thread or feel free to contact me on discord if you want.
I'm really just grasping at straws here, so thanks to anyone who might help.

Thank you. I have provided a direct link to your file from the main post. If you consider removing the file from dropbox, please inform me or Leonard, and we will transfer it over to an actual repository.aXezilla wrote: ↑Tue Dec 29, 2020 3:35 pmHi,

Re: ZCC - Zandronum Community Client [v1.6 Zandronum 3.0]
Just dropping by to say I did push it to a repository already as someone wanted to see the history.
It's on OSDN.
I guess this is the official repository for now.

Thank you so much!! I missed ZCC so much since 3.1 came out. Everybody I know wants it.
EDIT: It doesn't work. Zandronum won't even boot with this version.

It works fine for me. Does it show nothing? or does it give a window before closing?METAL_DANNY_420 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 7:04 pmThank you so much!! I missed ZCC so much since 3.1 came out. Everybody I know wants it.
