HELP: Can't get Doomseeker server to work!
For the past 2 days, i've been trying to get my server on Doomseeker to show up on the Master Server list. But every time i try it never does. I have port forwarded ports 10666 for UDP and TCP for Doomseeker, but it still didn't make a difference. I tried searching for my server and that didn't work. I am using Zandronum 1.3 and that is the engine i set it on. I also forwarded ports 10666-10700, both TCP and UDP for Zandronum but nothing still. My firewall isn't even blocking them either.
I can join my server of course, but like i said it won't show up on the server list not matter what i try doing. I've been going back and fourth trying to figure out the problem, but i can't. I am using AT&T U-Verse in case that helps or you were just wondering.

Have you heard about Net Neutrality? But seriously, check your windows or third party firewall for port forwarding or even disable and see if works.

You can say good bye to your thread. Cause i am killing it.

I'm just gonna host a Best-Ever server then.

Just because you can't see your own server it doesn't mean that others can't too. First of all, Doomseeker won't list servers on your localhost on its own. You need to add it as a "Custom server". If you wish to see if other people can see your server, execute following command in its console: 'sv_showlauncherqueries 1'. If queries from various IP addresses start to appear then others can see your server without any problems.

I recently tried that and stuff was happening, but it said this every time: "Ignored IP Launcher Challenge" or something like that. What does that mean?Zalewa wrote: Just because you can't see your own server it doesn't mean that others can't too. First of all, Doomseeker won't list servers on your localhost on its own. It means that the server has received something but it was either bogus or too rapid. Perhaps this provides some insight on what might be wrong.

Try adding this to your server in the 'Custom Parameters' tab on Doomseeker:
+sv_updatemaster 1
+sv_enforcemasterbanlist 1

I still can't see it, but i'm going to see if my friend can see it once again. If not then i have no idea why i can't get it to work with me. I don't know why though, i mean i added it as a custom server, port-forwarded and added the custom parameters but it just won't do.Vincent(PDP) wrote: Try adding this to your server in the 'Custom Parameters' tab on Doomseeker:

No you cannot see it, but others should. The IP that your server gets is your public IP address, which cannot get accessed by yourself since, yeah, you cannot send or recieve data from yourself from the outside because you are right now on the inside... (If you need a more clear explanation just ask :D)UltimateDoomer90 wrote:I still can't see it, but i'm going to see if my friend can see it once again. Goto Options > Configure > Custom Servers,
then add a new server under the Zandronum Engine with the IP 127.0.0.1 and the port 10666 (if you haven't changed it).

RE: HELP: Can't get Doomseeker server to work!
Where do i add the IP to? I tried putting it as the Host name when i added the Custom Server with the port 10666, but that didn't work. Then i tried putting it in the Port field, but it told me "Port must be within range 1 - 65535."Vincent(PDP) wrote:No you cannot see it, but others should.UltimateDoomer90 wrote:I still can't see it, but i'm going to see if my friend can see it once again. Forgive my complete noobishness, but i have created many servers before in many other games without this much trouble. I was thinking about downloading IDE, but then i thought that program would end up giving me the same hassle. The last thing i want to do if nothing else works in Doomseeker is make a Best-Ever server, though i do want to keep trying.

The host is the IP. And if your server is started it should be found on the IP 127.0.0.1 and the port <your server port>. Do you have Steam or Skype? I can help you right now if you want to.
I don't think IDE will be any easier...

I have a Steam account. But if we're going to use mics, just FYI mine broke.Vincent(PDP) wrote: The host is the IP. And if your server is started it should be found on the IP 127.0.0.1 and the port <your server port>. Do you have Steam or Skype? I can help you right now if you want to.
