Brutal Doom - Fatal Flaw - bloodpoolstains.png not found

Hello everyone, been playing Brutal Doom for the first time and love it. Anyhoos, after a few days of playing I received a rather jarring pop up after starting E3M4's "House of Pain" from The Ultimate Doom.

Received the error "bloodpoolstains.png not found in NashGore"

Alternatively, since that error I've found that the contents of the game have zoomed in, strangely enough. Not sure how to describe that correctly. I mean, for instance, the screen itself looks larger though the actual display seems to have stayed the same. Weapons, stats, etc. seem to have been enlarged for some reason.

Could someone possibly help me find out what's going on, with both the enlarged screen and the missing .png file? Thanks guys.

This is NOT related to playing Brutal Doom with Nashgore or not (the OP probably doesn't even know what you mean by 'stop playing' brutal doom with nashgore as 99% of ppl do not install additional plugins for Brutal Doom), this seems to be a recurrent issue with blood stains and some water textures.

I was able to decrease the frequency I have to restart maps (since this effectively kills off the affected saved game) greatly by following the below steps.

* Do not save while standing in water.
* Use the janitor mutator, it removes bloodstains and decreases the possibility for this memory related crash.
* Failing all, use the autosave to start the map from the beginning and keep the above 2 in mind.

I've been able to play on Final Doom - TNT from map01 to map09 and after that, the game crashes if I leave the high res texture pack (zdoom-dhtp-20130802.pk3) in the "skins" subfolder. Removing it from there allows to play normally.

I've tried to put the zdoom-dhtp-20130802.pk3 in the "skins" subfolder before loading a savegame. It worked on map12, but makes zandronum crash again on map13. Using what Random said in his post just above mine doesn't get past it unfortunately.

Download the Doomsday DHTP and extract it's content into the Flats and Textures subfolders. (create them if they do not exist)
This should fix all crashing issues remaining in the DHTP and even restore support for the ingame HD texture menu toggle.

Not sure what I have to do. I've downloaded the Doomsday DHTP and the only file I get is deng-dhtp-20130813.pk3. Tried to put it in "skins" folder and it doesn't work. I guess it will work only with Doomsday Engine.

Created the "flats" and "textures" subfolders, but what needs to be put in there ?

Open the pk3 like a zip file (which it is), and extract the flats and textures folders.
