Chocolate Doom v2.1.0, downloaded from main page of'http://www.chocolate-doom.org. [^]' I just checked to be sure and it doesn't work. I set up a dedicated server, then I joined it setting up tnt.wad and Doomseeker displays doom2.wad. Initially I thought we have another bug in Doomseeker, but my server just doesn't report the "game mission" byte properly.
By the way, server hosting for Chocolate Doom also isn't done properly by Doomseeker. What it should do is to start a server by passing only the -dedicated, -port and (optionally) -privateserver arguments, and then launch the executable again with all the remaining arguments and an additional join command that will join localhost:port on which the -dedicated process is running. Previously Chocolate Doom had separate executables, but we didn't update the plugin when they got merged into one. I don't think this requires hotfixing right now, as the problem can be easily worked around just by starting the -dedicated server manually and then joining it from Doomseeker as with any other server, but it needs to be fixed eventually. |
