Can you compile the latest 2.0 version on your machine and check whether it's fixed in there?

I can confirm the issue persists on Zandronum v2.0-alpha - SVN revision 131102-1555 - SDL version

Issue persists after upgrading kernel to 3.11.0-13 and Mesa 9.2.1

Does it work in the latest GZDoom version?

Unfortunately I get a buffer overflow error when I try to load a game in gzdoom when compiled using this guide

[i965] [GM45] bogus rendering with gen4-5 intel chipsets
Quote

I think this is a bug in Mesa,
respectively the dri component of the i965 driver, since AMD and Nvidia
based cards with the radeon and nouveau open source drivers work fine.

Thanks for the report!

I can confirm this bug using Mesa master on Ironlake as well. Similar blocky pattern and flickering. Ivybridge does not show this problem, so presumably it's Gen4-5 code at fault...

Still the same in zan 2.0?
How about gzdoom...?

With Zandronum v2.0-alpha - SVN revision 131102-1555 - SDL version
Compiled on Nov 5 2013

The issue persists.

I am unable to compile gzdoom to run when compiled following'http://zdoom.org/wiki/Compile_GZDoom_on_Linux [^]' - see a few posts above

Anyway as pointed out by SkyrimGuy it could be a Mesa bug and not zandronum. I am just keeping a log here of what Mesa versions I try and whether the issue persists

With Mesa 18.2.0-rc4 or 18.1.6 for my Intel Ironlake Graphics (Gen5), the graphical artifacts in OpenGL mode reported in this bug report no longer appear in Zandronum 1.2-130826-1853, 2.0-alpha-131102-1555 or even 3.0-170901-1140.
