Since there seems to be overwhelming support for this, I'll see if I can make a decent layout for an example map sometime tonight or tomorrow.

Besides 3D floors, how else would I "showcase" Zandronum features?
Reinforcements: midgame Survival joining/respawning
Doom64: Unabsolved: Doom64 + Diablo II
ZandroSkins: a pack made by our community
AeniPuffs: 3D blood and bullet puff effects, free to use for your own mods
Squad Radio: a WASD-based radio chat menu, add your own custom sounds!

Do jumppads count? They've been worked into teamgame maps before. Maybe include a few skulltag items(or even something original)?

They're practically ancient, but okay maybe they'll fit in.

That was my next question ... Should this proposed map pack use Skulltag weapons/items/powerups? Or just Skulltag textures? Or no Skulltag content at all?

If you can work the items in without making the map into an unbalanced mess go for it, I'd really like to see that work myself.

I personally want skulltag to dissapear, I got no problem with the old Projects having skulltag stuff, but these new ones should be clean from it.
I think new stuff would be better, as it can show off what zan can actually do, instead of pulling out the old skulltag stuff.

If you are going to make a ZanCTF Map Pack, I would see it just in PUB being played because IDL Mappack is one of the most played mappacks for ctf (Used for Pub, Priv and clan scrimming) and also used for the whole tournament on odamex, but we'll see.
I will be probably testing this since I have no god damn clue when I map (my Singleplayer wad didn't go so well).

There's nothing inherently wrong with using skulltag items, except for resources of dubious legality I suppose. You could always substitute ripped stuff with something else (maybe even original sprites? I'm sure we have some spriters in the community somewhere)

I'd shy away from including a ton of STdata content though, you don't need even half of it.

I'm going to throw a texture pack together using some team-specific textures from skulltag_data (red and blue marble, brick, etc), a few original textures, and some from other places like the Afterglow repository.

Okay so due to lazyness (and not knowing what players/mappers might want), I might not create a custom texture pack from scratch.

Instead I'm requesting links to any good CTF texture packs (or any "team" texture packs which have red and blue variants of the same textures). Other than IDL of course.

If you require textures, I've got a large in progress pack. (a bit too large though)
I could also bang out a map with some ideas.

I might be of disposal if you want a normal texture recolored to red or blue, though there will be times when I have no time for it because of schoolwork.

I've actually already got recolours and a ton of variations, you could actually save your time with this, so less sacrifice of what time you do get.

Sure thing man, I just want to be of help if needed, to be honest, I feel just as useless as I actually am these days

Honestly, a map is more helpful than a texture, since Doom has enough textures on it's own to make some amazing stuff, textures just let you do more things.
Hell, if you got creative with patches from Doom to Doom2 even, you can make some interesting stuff.

Okay so I don't have anything worthy of screenshots yet, but I will announce that I've started working on this.

Screenshots and a project thread will hopefully come soon.
