Recommended Map Editors?

#1

Post by BlushBerry » Wed Apr 27, 2016 6:19 am

I'm thinking of messing around with a doom map editor. I've done maps in the past for source engine. But I've never tried it in doom. Could you guys point me in the right direction of a popular or preferred map editor?

I was thinking of practicing a bit making test maps and hopefully get into it enough to make megawads to release to the community :3

Man you're just all over the place. And thanks I'll check it out. Just to make sure I got the right one. Is this it?

Is there any type of documentation for this available? Any tutorials?... Youtube videos are helpful Was just curious if any of you guys learned from watching other people do it :3. I'm kind of a visual learner.

I'm sure if you use this handy little tool called Google you'll find some.

No need to be like that ( ͡° ᴥ ͡°). I was simply asking if any of you had any recommended places to check out. I've already been checking google.

I've never used these tutorials, but they seem to have positive reviews and several people from within the community have used them and speak favorably of them.

Alternatively you could ask questions you may have on irc - #zamapping can get really boring if nobody has any questions to answer :c
