Hi,
When I play co-operative with sv_sharekeys set to true, and someone takes a keycard, everyone gets it – as expected.
However when someone takes a skull key, only the player who picked it up, gets it. Skull keys just never seem to appear in other players inventory.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Not sure if this is a because of a bug or because of some setting that I'm using wrong, so I decided to post here first.
Version information: Zandronum 2.1.2 - 150718-1029 - SDL version on Ubuntu 15.10.

Re: sv_sharekeys and skull keys
Are you loading any custom weaponsets or map packs?
sv_sharekeys does not respect levels or arsenals that replace keys, of which there's a surprising amount of.

I don't know if it has replacements. Visually the skull keys look like in vanilla IWADs but that doesn't probably mean much :)
I should probably test with doom.wad and doom2.wad.
Re: sv_sharekeys and skull keys
Tested now with vanilla. I had completely forgot that there's no map in doom.wad nor doom2.wad that has more than three keys in the same level. And the only level that has mixed keys seems to be MAP17. And sv_sharekeys works in MAP17 without issues and without a doubt in other vanilla levels too.
Is there anything that Zandronum could do to support all six keys? Or is it a futile attempt because there's no standard on >3 keys and no way to predict how some mapper codes the keys in their particular wad?

I feel that anything that is or inherits a key or quest item should be shared.

Is it possible to do that?Dark-Assassin wrote:I feel that anything that is or inherits a key or quest item should be shared.
