Christmas Extravaganza DM map pack 2015

The Christmas Extravaganza Map Pack started in 2010 as a set of Skulltag deathmatch levels with Christmas graphics. The current set of maps are for deathmatch and deathmatch-compatible gamemodes (Last Man Standing, Terminator, etc.).

The project was a kind of recurring tradition until recently, so I decided to kick it in the pants and try to get a few more maps.

Made in Doom II for Zandronum
Requires skulltag content

I've recompiled the pack and updates into one PK3 HERE. If you'd like to make a map post here and let me know. You will be required to change it according to feedback though. The deadline for new maps is Dec 14th but it's not a hard deadline, try not to miss christmas entirely though lol

Textures are included in the wad, and you can provide your own as long as they don't cause conflicts.

Didn't plan on it. Any rules on custom weapons or decorate stuff in general?

I'm really happy that Marcaek decided to take this for a spin. This has always been a really fun project to be a part of.
The goal of this project was to have a stable, well planned map pack that had interesting variety and was seasonal, so it would always be refreshing to play.

I'll be keeping up with the team in #cemp and keeping an eye out for bugs, imbalances, and I may make a few touch-ups to my maps before the project's re-release.

In the past, the development cycle of this project has been from mid-august through mid-december, but that is only to help iron out the content in the mod, not to bloat it excessively with features. So if next year there's enough interest, it would be really nice to see some refinement to the existing content, and even more new maps.

Hiya! Marcaek asked me to make a map for this, and so I did! I just finished it up tonight and I've sent it to him. Here are some shots:




It's called "Rooftop Jingle Jams". My time is limited so I basically made this in a single day (sans the layout, which I made a few years ago as a potential base for SpaceDM9).

I dunno if I need to post a link to the map here or not. But if so, I'll do that :)

Ok, I got 4 new maps in playable form for this so once I manage to get the compilation working, I'll put up a testing server and be in there as soon as I'm able. If anyone has a map theyre holding on to let me know what state its in!
