yo, long time ago i had an idea of something like mapping tournament but with epic places, i mean places where you never expect to see in a map, if you didn't understood maps gonna be like a house, ship or a shopping center!

well maybe there is not "too many places like those" but we can find more.

Alright, Rules can be these: (may change)

*you will have 5 months
*your wad only can have 30 mb or less
*you can use sounds, textures as well sprites
*the map don't should been posted somewhere else
*if you will use something add credits
*the music is not necessary but you can add ambient music (if there will be a elevator you can add a music :)
*can use Doom in hexen format or UDMF
*you can't use Skulltag_data
*the map will be for software so use Sofware things if you want can add dinamyc lights but that is your option
*you guys can do couples if you think your skill is not enough or if you not have time

now for votes each one will send me a pm whith a rating of each wad (regardless your map) 10/0 with a little description, i only will accept votes of known players not votes from an acount with 0 posts

yeah that is, well the tournament is not official yet, so is just and idea but in the tournament we can do couples (not more or gonna be unfair) need more votes

not need 3d floor, you can use the teleport to line in stair and the stack sector besides since there is the pluguin for see 3D floor in DB gonna be easy i guess

Unconventional Doom maps are always good (not bases, hell, gothic temples with 500,000,000 linedefs, etc.), so I'd give it a go, especially because I've been doing a bit of mapping lately, making a vanilla-compatible DM WAD.

Actually it's funny you mention this. I started working on a DM wad that is deviating away from regular DM maps. I'm aiming for unique and individually themed maps that really stand out from each-other. I'd love to see what the community could bring up too :D
