Can anyone hear or feel stuff most don't?

I know this feeling. When I was about 13 or 14 years old, my mother took me to a doctor for a routine checkup. The same as any other checkup, I sat on the bed and took off my shirt. I felt the cold stethoscope push down on my chest as he told me to inhale and exhale. When the checkup was over, he leaned over and whispered into my mother's ear.

"Your son is.. different... please make an appointment next month and we can do further testing."

Luckily, I was able to overhear what he told my mother. And I didn't like it one bit.

As we went back to the waiting room, it hit me. I could feel the frequency of the radio wave penetrating me. When we got home, I decided to test some more. I went to my computer straight away and I instantly felt the Wi-Fi connection. It was at that point that I realized I could feel it. I could feel everything. Radios, microwaves, television, you name it. I had something called Microwave auditory effect, but to a severe degree.

A month passed and I came back to the doctor's office, only this time, the severity of the wave effect had dramatically increased. It gave me headaches. I wanted to leave. The doctor took note of this phenomena and made a phone call. A few minutes later, men in black suits had arrived at the doctor's office to take me away. I remember my mom kicking and screaming, begging and pleading them not to take me away. It was futile.

As I was pushed into the pitch black SUV, they blindfolded me. I didn't know where I was being taken. Nervously I asked one of the men why they were taking me. Although I couldn't see, I felt him look over at me and tell me

"Don't worry about it. You're safe now."

About half an hour later the car came to an abrupt stop. Two of them men had grabbed me by the arms and hauled me over into a nice air conditioned building. They took the blindfold off, and presented me with a computer. The computer had only two programs installed: Zdaemon and Skulltag.

Right as I moved the mouse, the door behind me swiftly swung open and hit the wall. Startled, I turned around to see a bald man in his mid to late 20's staring at me.

"I'm going to hone your skills and teach you everything you need to know. Don't worry, I've had the same problem. Name's Ralphis, nice to meet you!"

Although this all seemed like some freak sci-fi experiment, I felt like I could trust Ralphis.

He took a chair and sat beside me. It was at this point that he explained what was going on. A few days later, I could feel my opponent's moves in Doom before I saw them on the screen. This is what Ralphis had trained me to do. He had me become the ultimate doom machine.

It was not long after that my team had won the International Doom League. Then we won again. I went from losing my very first IDL season 2-6-1 to winning the next two, back to back.

And here I am, the best player in doom. What an experience.
