Some time ago, I was in possession of this (short?)sword that my dad found buried at his work (he landscapes in a nearby town.) I'm not exactly sure what the symbols on this mean. Are they runes? Chinese symbols? Random designs?
Spoiler: Side 1 (in comparison to pencil) (Open)
Spoiler: Middle (it's kind of bent) (Open)
Spoiler: Side 2 (Open)
Spoiler: Side 1 of Blade (close-up) (Open)
Spoiler: Side 2 of Blade (close-up) (Open)
Spoiler: Close-up of the hilt (Open)
It's not really important that I find out what these symbols mean, but it would be cool to know. (if it's any help, they were found here in California)

Wow, yeah it's a replica. Probably ordered out of a magazine or something.
Good catch, Kal.
