Should destroying enemy buildings also deduct enemy tickets?

lol 13/13?

The SSG TLMS AOW20 players voted for not deducting tickets by buildings for sure lol

Can it be, that the flamethrower got nerfed compared to omega 2539? It felt like less damage/less fire or sth like that. o.o

Nice poll. Very nice :)

Not gonna say everyone who voted No is a SSG TLMS player, but I surely recognize a number of them :V

To be quite fair, there is a considerable amount of players who like this TDM/TLMS stuff and play AOW2 just to kill people. Cata's philosophy of making bigger changes in this mod is ultimately about the approval of the majority of players, unless it's some rebalancing, then gathering the players' approval is not the best thing to do in AOW2. So if the majority prefers TDM over building killing, it's going to stay as TDM.

Hi. I just want to offer another Sudden Death веселый music. It's not at all similar to old SD tune, but whatever.

Minigunner doesnt need a nerf lol. oh my lovely god I hope this wont get nerfed

Its supposed to be better than a machinegun.

Dont make it to a pea shooter.
Funny thing is: You didnt want the SSG nerfed - there I really ask me: WTF? I mean - I dont think SSG is op as well, but if you vote for minigun being op, then I really really have to wonder what SSG is then?
Sorry but I just feel like - you want to push your SSG Deathmatch ..

Laser Chaingun overpowered? It rather felt always underpowered. If you nerfe it - where to go? It is the same low damage like at omega then again? If it was at omega 4 damage, and you increased it to 5 - what you plan to do by nerfing? Then its back to 4 like in omega.
And 4 is very weak. I would never use the class.
Also there is nothing overpowered about the submachine gun.
_
What is at class buff table the result for the SSG?
_
I like the random damage. It gives you dynamic to the gun - so a weak gun is not always weak and can do with some luck a bit of more damage.
Also: Doom had always random damage and loved it for that feature. I would be sad if you remove it completely.
_
Titan: I would like it, if it not feels so helpless against infantry if its not close to medium range combat. Same for juggernaut. And if its even just like a machinegun soldier weapon - but pls not this feel of being so helpless against them. The artillery shell does quite good damage, the rockets damage highly depends on the amount you get in. Mostly not that much at distance. They just dodge these type of weapons, and if hit, they just selfheal - maybe decrease selfheal by 50% efficiency? So a bullettype gun or sth like that would be nice for distances - if its not too much spread though. So better less damage, to compensate good accuracy, but this way you would have sth against infantry for distances without the feel of being so damn helpless.
But anyway if you want the mechs to stay the same - I could live with it.
_
I still dont think it longens the matches with lives disabled. I also gave you some suggestions like increasing for SD the outside damage on buildings by normal weapons and so on. This can be optimized for sure :)
_
I wonder about the balance priority for optimizing focus. For me it was quite balanced beside of the new stuff which was too weak.

About random damage - perhaps you could implement a consensus by not completely removing random damage, but lessening the random range. From the way the poll text was worded, it seems you still use the oldass Doom hitscan randomizer(i.e. base damage*random(1,3)) - this is kind of too large of a random range and will probably be bad for anything with it's base damage higher than like 8.

What I suggest is to remove the Doom random damage entirely, but add your own one. I.e. instead of 10 base dmg. with no norandom flag, you use say random(15,25) with norandom flag - both keeps random damage in but doesn't make the range ridiculous.

(i wonder how will you react to an input of a player who has never played aow since like gamma)

I think it will be nice to have some kind of poll about maps (vanilla and mappack), with comments, layout screenshots and layout suggestions.

Well, look at this - I can much easely kill guy with Laser Chaingun for example with gauss class(or any laser armor class) and smg. Much harder to kill Laser C (I loose about 8 times from 10) with Artillery class, which is actually suppose to be more effective against laser armor classes. In that case, I think if Cat keeps LaserC more powerfull, then damage from explosion to laser armor should be increased (or speed of projectile increased, or radius of splash damage, or decrease speed of laser chaingun class).
See, now laserC is dominating on a long range - there is no alternative, like gauss, or artillery or rifle - and thats lame.

And one more suggestion - make grenade soldire more like juggernaut in tribes ascend - low firerate, long rage, delay before explode and huge splash damage. Here is a video

more types of grenades would also be good, just not flashbangs, it is annoying not to be able to see anything.
