I liked the overall outcome of the retarded monster contest and I'd like to hold some regular contests. I'm not sure when the contests would be held and I'm also not sure whether they should be recurring. So for the time being I'd rather come up with new contest every now and then. I welcome opinions on contest ideas or recurring contests.

I was toying with the following ideas:

Retarded weapon contest
Hybrid monster contest
Worthless weapon contest
3D weapon model contest
Dirge
(Killed, for now)

3D models plz. Although DarkSlayer would win every time.
Reinforcements: midgame Survival joining/respawning
Doom64: Unabsolved: Doom64 + Diablo II
ZandroSkins: a pack made by our community
AeniPuffs: 3D blood and bullet puff effects, free to use for your own mods
Squad Radio: a WASD-based radio chat menu, add your own custom sounds!

I would like to see some contests that heed for some more serious content too, using adjectives like "best" or similar.
Something a bit unrelated is that I would also like that when you launch the contest, that you also list the hard criteria that the contributions will be rated on, to avoid confusions and to make the content more focused.

I think that worthless weapon/monster/script contest would be a good idea. Same with most useful weapon, most suprising monster and most epic script contests.

That would be a very, very, very long contest Discount.


I would like to have monthly/semimonthly contests, but honestly it would get pretty stale if it occurred too regularly. I'm also concerned about the length of the deadlines for them. (Specifically, I wonder if the lengthy deadline for the Retarded Monster contest detracted from it.)

I'm probably going to make the 3d model contest the next one. The retarded weapon will come, but I'll have to narrow down some weapon criteria for that one.

I actually think it could work.

A suggestion:
Have a tutorial ready at hand for each contest, prepare them before you launch, then people have no excuse to be on lower quality.

Idk if you need a tutorial maybe you shouldn't be entering a contest straight away.
