At non peak times, I get about 2.7 mbit a second, but at peak times that number can drop to as low as 0.20 megabit. Also, my jitter goes bananas at peak times. Normally it's around 10, which isn't very good anyway, but at peak times on pingtest I've seen it hit 5000. Makes doing anything impossible especially zandronum. 5 second respawns and 5 second teleports are not fun.

HughesNet "Broadband" by satellite. It only works to its full speed when there's a clear sky but you get more than 3 cubic feet of cloud in the sky its like "Eeeehh im not feeling it today" and completely stops to a grinding halt. Also, with a 450ish MB limit on the pro plan, which is I guess the highest, sucks major dick for doing anything for more than an hour but it has an "Unlimited Data" time which is between 2:00am-7:00am EST.

So in short. I give it a -4/10

Also I think that speedtest decreases pings somewhat, when I perform a speedtest to a server in my country it shows at 0 ping, which doesn't make sense as I ping 5ms to my DSLAM and atleast 6 to servers in my area.

...And this is why I always prefer the wired connection over wireless. On the same network, the difference is huge. Oh well, I should probably try the different server for more accurate download, but...
