Spawning a trillion arch-viles on a previously cleared battlefield.. I just exit the wad and never plays it again because needing this stupid -creative- trap means hopeless attempt to make game more difficult.

In Chillax you have to make use of infighting~

For...it's not so much a "hate" as it is daunting, but very large open maps (think canyons not so much map length) with lots of enemies around in high places and no idea where to go! D;

Its better put in the spawn the SSG or near it, since if the enemy have it, it will hard to kill him with another weapon, since doom is not balanced in weapons, to win you have to take the best weapon (BFG), have a good aim (SSG) or spam (RL and plasmagun)

Over detailed maps where you get stuck on the detailing and die, especially in survival this pisses me off. Especially considering how simple this is to prevent.
I also hate when there's a million of one enemy type in a map (usually Revs) and nothing else.
And let's not forget the surprise Archvile (this is basically my weakness in survival) where one spawns/teleports behind you or something and you're out in the open.

no cover for revs/chainers/archviles, or said monsters out of sight or behind a fake wall yet able to hit you (I'm looking at you Eternal!).

Pistol starts with top tier monsters in the start room with you, and either no weapon or just a shotgun....for half the level.

timed elevators/doors where the switch is halfway across the level and you need to get to it before it finishes. Worse still if theres no indication and its the only way to progress.

Cyberdemon starts. Seriously, fuck cyberdemons at spawnspots (especially on survival mode)

sphere traps where the danger of dying far outweighs the advantage of the sphere.

I hate duel maps with the bfg or plasmarifle, they change the gameplay in a way that I do not like.

I hate it when maps have you fending for your life with no room to get out of the crowd of enemies and circle them. Or when a map fails to account for everyone dying in Survival and forces a pistol start for a portion of the map.
Other reasons would be spam of monsters aka 3+ Cyberdemons at once, 15+ Revenants, 3+ Archviles, 20+ Shotgunners. etc... Pits with teleports or elevators for only one side of the pit. Hallways about a Baron's width are terrible for combat. When a map spoils you and makes it too easy. Deathmatch maps where the best weapons are strewn all about the center, SSG Spawns (SSG jousting makes deathmatch seem more of a "see who dodges the one hit kill point-blank gun" contest.) Over detailed maps always find their ways to nip me in my ass, whether it be fps dips, little holes for hitscan to enter, too many obsturcting features... etc.

Sniper Archviles/Zombies. Also, weapons that use plasma in DM maps(unless they require acuraccy, like the Railgun)
