In-game Admin Commands v10

What's this?
In-game Admin Commands (aka AdminScriptsDooM) is a mod for Doom which
allows you to make players admin on your server. When you make someone admin, a command menu will
popup on the left of that player's screen. There will be written different commands and how you execute them.


How to make someone admin:
To make someone admin type 'makeadmin + (Player ID)' in the server console. (Without the '+')
Don't know what your/someone's Player ID is? Type 'playerinfo' in the console. The number
written next to the player's name is his/hers id. Then you'll just follow the command list that shows up when you/someone is admin.

How to make someone Super Admin:
To make someone super admin type 'makesuperadmin + (Player ID)' in the server console. (Without the '+')
A Super Admin can use all commands even though they're restricted.


How to remove someone's admin access:
To remove someone's admin access type 'removeadmin + (Player ID)' in the server console. (Without the '+')
The player who does not have admin access any longer, will not be able to use the Admin Commands.

Restrictions:
To add restrictions to your server you can type the following commands
in the "Custom Parameters" tab in the server settings.
(Please note: These restrictions DOES NOT apply to Super Admins!)

+set x_admin_disable_health 1

To disable weapon giving:
+set x_admin_disable_weapongiving 1

To disable powerup giving:
+set x_admin_disable_powerups 1

To disable player killing:

+set x_admin_disable_takeweapons 1

To disable taking powerups:
+set x_admin_disable_takepowerups 1

To disable team switching:
+set x_admin_disable_teamswitch 1

To disable flight:

To disable player spectating:

To disable player teleporting:

To disable item/monster spawning:

I've started working on Version 10 again... It will be released in no time!


Version 10 delay, again:
I've got some bad news folks...
My computer has been hacked. And i gotta fix it before i release AdminScriptsDooM version 10...


Version 10 delay:
Unfortunately, the release of version 10 will be delayed. The custom item giving isn't working correctly in multiplayer. I've asked Ijon Tichy about the problem since i am using his stralloc wad to be able to write strings from in-game.

Kewl. It's like RCON for people that you wouldn't fully trust with RCON powers so you give them a basic list of commands.

But in RCON you can't give weapons/powerups, make somebody fly, (i don't know about spectate), spawn monsters, weapons or ammo, you can't take weapons/powerups, you can't kill players, you can't give everyone a weapon, you can't teleport players etc, etc, etc...

So that's why i made this mod...
To be able to do these thing :P

It gives you more in game control.

This looks needed in places all over, well mostly servers where the host/admins don't wanna be killed. (Teamdamage Doom Center)

I actually started building this because i wanted better "access" to my servers. I would also like to have more commands included, so if anybody out there have got any kind of ideas, that'll be greatly appreciated.
(Note: No clipping will NOT be included. That's too much cheating.)

Also, the system looks slightly like it was copied from ZH. It had similar thing. Just try puking 600 in ZH offline.

A bit based on it yes, but how would you else make someone admin?

If anything, I could never get ZandroAdmin to work at all, so yea..

This looks pretty cool, but I can assume it could be abused very quickly.

I replied to the pm. If anything, now that I think about it. There should not be anything to be worried about, other then "Admins" going nuts with the cmds, at which you can revoke them.

If admins goes nuts you can simply type a restriction code in RCON. :razz:
For example, a player won't stop giving powerups, then type in RCON:
"set x_admin_disable_powerups 1" (Without the quotes)
And only the super admins will be able to use it.

Btw I'll probably add local restrictions too, so that you could give restrictions for only one player for example. :wink:
Oh i completely forgot to make a restriction for giving weapons to all the players on the server... I will fix that ASAP.

Yes. When a super admin OR a regular admin executes any command, a message will show up on the screen. Like the one in the picture i posted in the spoiler.

Example:
<MDS> Vincent (PDP) gave himself a super shotgun.

Or:
<MDS> Vincent (PDP) was teleported to Zoro with a distance of 11m.

Those applies to any admin. I can post a video of it later ;)
Also the messages use the HUDMSG_LOG property so that they're logged in the console.
