IWAD loading issue

#1

Post by Xondervan » Fri Aug 23, 2013 7:04 am

So I have been trying to load my own server. For some reason, instead of loading from any of the original doom wads, it tries to load from strife, yet I have no such wad in my folder. Has anyone ever had this issue?

So it loads another wad than what it is supposed to?
Make sure the IWAD line doesn't show strife1.wad in the end, and instead the IWAD of your choice.

Well when I load it offline, it loads into doom2, the proper IWAD. But when I start a server, it tries to load strife instead of doom2.

Can you make a spoiler containing the startup log?

It tries to load the map entryway it seems, that is the doom map, but I don't get why it fails to load a lot of the doom stuff.
I suggest try again without loading brutaldoom, as it might cause an error if you use the wrong files. (I am not stuping to say you are stupid, sorry if I offended you in any way)

I even tried starting up by itself, and it still wants to load strife :/
I figured it out. I went and found the strife1 wad on the main Zandronum folder, and moved it into the wads folder I made. Then it asked to find the file path for the wads, and it loads just fine.
