- Do people want simple stuff - Should be a mix of both simple and a little more complex features for player choice. Generally complexity should be only where it is warranted and not for the sake of it.
- Do people want fancy stuff- Should be purely optional, would attract quite a few but allow people to choose (needs to be both software/opengl friendly) while maintaining reasonable+ graphics in both renderers even with the lowest settings.
- Do people want tons, or little content - Every content should be useful, make sure to make it diverse enough, again for players' choice, but not too specific.
- Do people want something we haven't seen before (ex: account system saving progress and allowing purchasable items or something in game?) -
Sounds really cool, might initially attract many people but will require quality for replayability.
Account saving might make it more of an MMO which is not the reason players come to this port... something where people start from scratch everytime would be more successful. Could add ratings and achievements though.
- Something a bit more eternal (ex: RPG online that continues on and allows people to level up slowly, maybe something like pokemon where you have to train them to compete, and the amount of people to fight in game is quite large; keeping the player amused for a long time)
I don't think many players would have such an attention span

plus it would make it too advantagous to people who are beginning to play (People don't come here to play grind MMOs) So possible a round based thing would be better. Also since having a high number of players is based on how successful it will be, it's not gonna attract people unless it manages to keep a stable playerbase which will be hard.
- Do people want a highly competitive environment - Something which requires teamwork, which thankfully is becoming more common among players
