I'm currently working on modding RGA 3 as a start note to add more killstreaks and the Specialist strike package from MW3. I see that a lot of people like it and some hate it. Any opinions about it, positive or negative are welcome, just don't flame about it please.

Thing is, Volt already made an RGA3, and it, too, is based off of MW3.

The only RGA I like is RGA1. You know, the one that uses Infiltration rips instead of COD.
Reinforcements: midgame Survival joining/respawning
Doom64: Unabsolved: Doom64 + Diablo II
ZandroSkins: a pack made by our community
AeniPuffs: 3D blood and bullet puff effects, free to use for your own mods
Squad Radio: a WASD-based radio chat menu, add your own custom sounds!
Mercenaries (on hold)

The idea of using weapons from other games is always nice, but RGA just goes too far. All I remember is blood filling up my screen and blocking everything, stupid recoil that pisses me off, enemies constantly going into last stand (which results in me getting hurt when I thought the enemy was dead), annoying sound effects, and unnecessary monster replacements.

Thats what I remember anyways, I haven't played RGA in over a year now.

Yes RGH counts at this. I wanted to pick up on RGA 3 where it was left off and make it better and more fun to play. Of course this is going to take a long time to do, since I'm still learning ACS scripts. I want to go as far as adding the Escort Airdrop to outdoor maps that can drop and defend the care packages. I want to make RGA3 more like its parent game MW3. Fraps will help in this as well but it's gonna take a long time to perfect. I could have the Counter UAV make the screen fuzzy and counter the UAV exposure. I also want to make all killstreaks able to be shot down and more launchers and perks added.

I made Refined for RGA2.

It's actually decent.

Enough said.

RGA1 was the only one that was original and fun, for the most part. If I wanted to play CoD, I'd play CoD.

I see the rest of the series as novelties.

I do not really love the different ones I have played except of RGAWW, which is my favorite, I do intent to work with "adding stuff here and there" in case I got time and feel like it.

Same for me.
I played some RG more than a year ago and the only thing I liked was the experience system, other than that all I remember is that I stopped playing because the weapons didn't have a good feedback compared to the DooM's weapons.

Also, every weapon should auto-reload... and a flamethrower would be fun to use.

I'm hoping an RGA 3 refined can be made. I have the game MW3 but I like this because as it has been mentioned before, the novelty and proof of concept that this can be done is pretty neat. It's amazing what you can do with Doom nowadays and how customizable it is.

In all honesty, the RGA series was quite a fun modification. It introduced new concepts in general, such as the ability for players to have an aggressive cooperative session with tougher enemies and newer weapons, or giving the players more flexibility with what they want to go for. It allowed players to suit themselves up for combat based off of what they prefer, granting them a variety of weapons, perks, and other items to choose from. Come around the time of RGA 2, the ranking system granted them further bonuses, allowing the higher-ranked ones to help out their lower-ranked allies, making teamwork a sometimes vital part of the mod itself. The modification was made to add a little 'zest' to the game, and more or less, demonstrate just how powerful some ACS and coding functions can potentially be. I honestly didn't play RGA in competitive gamemodes, but it certainly spiced up the cooperative aspects in many ways.

Sure, just not by me.
As per usual, Voltlock included the ACS source in the Coding wad, so if anyone's up for it...

I remember the mayhem and the way cooperation was more of a factor when I first tried out RGA 2. If anything, just the simple structures of the mod was good as it is. If I had to look for an improvement, I'd like less rehashing of CoD, and more of a original take of all the things that made CoD what it is but doom-anized. Maybe a balance in weapons and perks could be found with other things not pertaining to CoD, and just focus more on cementing the co-op factor of the mod to something original but still fun. I know originality is really hard especially if you're coding it from scratch, but it all ends up with how much free time the creator has.
