Leaving an AA12 lying around and using a knife instead to murder people makes a ton of sense. If you had to murder a bunch of people and have to choose between a knife and an AA12, seriously, what would you pick? The gun really changes the gameplay, but nobody is really standing a chance against it. Plus it causes a lot of TK and despite its accuracy limitation, it still has a high ROF, damage and ammo capacity, and it's totally not something that would fit in a "murder simulator". When adding new things, watch some Agatha Christie movies (or read her books) to get some ideas that would fit in. A high-class military weapon like this is not something to be added to such an atmosphere. Also, even if you can write a little story about how did it get there and make it "realistic", please remember that "realistic", "fun" and "balanced" are 3 separate things. If you want something realistic, play MW3. If you want to play something fun, play WDI. :)

It can be included, but needs to have a balancing: Give the murderer an Ion Cannon Beacon and a Railgun on select :D Btw, why not just play WDI on AOW2 maps? :D

Ok guys take this into consideration the AA12 and most recently added, The Colt M1911A1 compared to the other guns by spawn rate:

The Beretta: 75% more likely to spawn instead of AA12
The Shotgun: 75% more likely to spawn instead of an AA12

The AA12: 25% chance of spawning on any map in the safe/bar/basement
M1911A1: 25% chance just like the AA12

to sum it up: you're less likely to get an AA12 than you are a pistol or shotgun i made it this way on purpose it uses the same damage factor as the regular shotgun.

My second point, fire rate:

Pistol: faster than the AA12 and the shotgun.
Shotgun: slooooooow as fuuuuuuuuck.
AA12: its just a tad slower than the pistol.
M1911A1: see the Pistol.

My third, and final point: Purpose as I interpret them (correct me if im wrong shooter)

Beretta: light defense against the murderer.

Shotgun: go on a rampage once you've identified the murderer.

AA12: was intended for support to have its handler hang back and provide support for players who are being attacked by TK'ers and the murd alike.

The M1911A1: is a mid class defense

^ This. WDI doesn't need new guns anyway IMHO, the M1-Beretta-Shotgun combo is balanced enough already. More guns would give too much power, less would not be enough for bigger games.

Cut the new guns please. Because if you are adding guns, you might as well add the M21 EBR from call of duty mw2, as well as the m60 from black ops because it is awesome.

What we meant by "need more weapons" was " need more melee weapons". Lugger and Shotgun on map was superbly balanced.
