BBS , you know what I mean ?

#1

Post by Tomthetom » Sun Nov 11, 2012 8:07 pm

Hello Ladies and Gentlemens

I really love oldschool stuff, especially what is computer-related.
So that is why I want to know if there is some sort of BBS or Telnet STILL going on that is simply doom related, or at least, related to retro-games (apogee, or something like that) but of course, anything else related to computer is ok for me. Of course, I did do some personnal research, but in vain. So please, no hate.

Have a good day !

Many roguelikes can be played with telnet... try nethack.alt.org but remember, roguelikes aren't user-friendly :)
If you like the other layers of the Internet, try Gopher. It is still alive.
Unfortunately I never used BBS so I will leave this to others.
Shared keys will now be in Zandro! Thanks devs for their work, and users for the support!

This site has some links to old Newsgroups - http://www.sbsoftware.com/links.html

I remember going on one a while back but I dunno about now.

Alright, I found one, just go on telnet and type bbs.lunduke.net
Its pretty much online games such as Mud.
