Zandronum Crashing

#1

Post by N7Reaper » Fri Sep 28, 2012 3:25 am

New member here, encountering a persistant problem. Whenever I run Zandronum, everything works fine. Start menu and the like, but the weird thing is. A few minutes in while in the menu screens, my monitor spazzes out into static. Then goes back to normal. But after that, the screen will freeze with the music still playing. Then black out, and then it goes back to normal.

A few minutes after that, the proccess will repeat. But it will stay on the black screen indefinitely. while my computer won't respond, forcing me to turn it back off and on manually.

A few notes make of it though.
- Gameplay isnt affected whatsoever, this only happens on the menu screens. I may be able to play. But this bug has just become much more than an freaking annoyance.

- Also I did not run it on the Zandronum executable. I use a .bat file to play Zandronum, mainly to access to the Skulltagpk3 actors. In order for it to run brutal doom

I Will wait patiently for any help given whatsoever. Your kindness is appreciated

Might be your refresh rate.
Reinforcements: midgame Survival joining/respawning
Doom64: Unabsolved: Doom64 + Diablo II
ZandroSkins: a pack made by our community
AeniPuffs: 3D blood and bullet puff effects, free to use for your own mods
Squad Radio: a WASD-based radio chat menu, add your own custom sounds!

How would I check the refresh rate? I ran ZDoom with no problems, but zandronum has been pretty iffy. I even uninstalled it and reinstalled, didnt solve the problem.

Check if this happens with GZDoom too.

Try using GL compatibility mode in the launcher
